Ms. Gomez has devoted her professional life to helping foreign nationals and their employers understand, and comply with, our complex immigration laws. She began working exclusively in the field in 1987, when she joined the New York office of Fragomen, Del Rey & Bernsen, P.C.—a large international firm, widely recognized as the world’s leading immigration law firm.
In 1991, Ms. Gomez founded the Law Office of Lourdes P. Gomez to give a select number of individual and corporate clients the benefit of her immigration experience, responsiveness, and clear strategy to maximize their chances of success without unnecessary delays. This vision holds true today. Ms. Gomez is passionate about personally representing her clients with honesty, integrity, expertise, and expediency. The Firm has built its client base entirely through word-of-mouth referrals from other happy clients.
Born in Cartagena, Colombia, Ms. Gomez gets it. Immigration laws can be uncertain and confusing, and she knows how important getting a work visa, or green card, is for clients’ futures. They inspire her work with their determination, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to excellence. She feels privileged to have represented some of the brightest people whose contributions to America’s economy and culture have been widely acclaimed.
Ms. Gomez loves to experience the world through traveling, golf, snowboarding, yoga, the arts, and positive interactions with other cultures. She thrives on using her life experiences to mentor young people, particularly those from disadvantaged communities.
